  1. Aishwarya, I wish I could say that attitudes, with its thought processes, are unable to freeze your forward momentum. I have to say it happened to me for many years. I needed a reboot.

  2. I like #8, where even in a concentration camp, a person can have joy in spreading it! I was having a grand adventure living with my first husband in a log cabin in isolated wilderness. My mother visited and told me I was POOR. And you know what, I had never thought of it until she said it! I was having too much fun!
Thanks for your collection of wonderful quotes!

  3. Hey! Amazing blog!! If you love spirituality please make sure to check my blog out. It’s pretty new but I shall be posting on my views on the topic – findingprosperity.wordpress.com. Thank you!!!

  4. Absolutely love all of them. One of my new year’s resolution this year is to have positivity. Right now #6 is speaking to me: “Our attitude towards life determines life’s attitude towards us.” John Mitchell

  5. Excellent choices! Viktor Frankl and Winston Churchill are both men I admire. Your list reminded me of a Bible verse. “…we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts…” <3

  6. Thank you for this very timely post. Did you know that October has designated as Positive Attitude Month? Your series of quotes reminded me of that fact. So many of the quotations were inspiring and thought-provoking. Among my favorites was #17:

“Attitude is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than what people do or say. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill.” – W.C Fields

This statement reminded me of extended comments from Chuck Swindoll whom I quote from time to time.

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church… a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude…I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you…we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

I plan to post a blog entry on the importance of maintaining a positive attitude some time before the end of the month. Thank you for the inspiration.

    1. Wow this was powerful. And, I didn’t know that October was a positive attitude month. Thankyou for letting me know that. Those lines and that quote are just so true and inspiring. All the best with your blog. 😊💫
