“Neither love nor terror makes one blind: indifference makes one blind.” – James Baldwin
I believe that this world is only as big as we want it to be. We don’t see the world as it is, but as we are.
And I also believe that a lot of people choose not to see as much as they could. I strenuously believe people kind of like being blind to the outside world, to what doesn’t cater to their needs and desires.
What I’m really trying to say is that we’re spending most of our time being self-centered.
We are not the center of the Universe. None of us is.
The Universe, yes, it’s a huge and dark place. It’s indifferent to our needs, wants, dreams, expectations. That’s why we need to take care of each other, to help each other become the very best possible versions of ourselves.
And it’s not about what we might get by being like this, but about who we become in being like this.
When life takes its own course sometimes we just don’t get to choose… – Ian Axel
What if there are miracles you never dreamed of hoping for? We’ve all heard it before, and somewhere in the back of our heads we know it, but I’m not sure many of us take much time to think about the fact that at any moment, everything we have ever known could be gone.
I remember (six years ago) visiting a children’s rescue and nurture home – children affected with HIV and AIDS – a non profit NGO just to cater the last needs of them, to give out health goodie bags, gifts and spend time there. I couldn’t help but be in such awe of their strength and optimism. It struck me as extraordinary that they could muster such unflappable peace, love, and positivity on the face of something as momentous as death. Literally brought me to tears of gratitude and admiration.
I don’t have enough words to describe my experience here, but I do pray that I never lose the feeling of HOPE that I have witnessed here. To be able to hold onto HOPE, at such a trying time, unaware of the flick of the wheel of fortune that transforms happiness into its opposite, truly takes a special kind of person, doesn’t it? But that’s the thing about sickness and diseases, isn’t it? No one is immune, anything can happen to any one of us at any given time. The truth is we only ever have this moment, right now. Never take that for granted.
Albeit a huge challenge, so excited to be walking through my life’s mission – to be part of a positive and impactful change – Aspire to Inspire, the motto of my blog: “to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, this is to have succeeded.” And I am filled with gratitude, gratefulness and cannot help but come to tears when I thank each one of you for reading and just being there with me on this journey. I couldn’t have done this without your constant support. Having touched over fifty thousand souls from ninety-six different countries, (in eight months) I surely have plans in the near future for this blog and for my readers, but, until then just keep reading and engaging yourself freely right here. Dive into mindfulness. Eclipsed Words was created because of this exact thought; Words and Art hold a tremendous energy when given the right amount of force – and never let a voice be eclipsed because of some “external force.”
Thank you, Lord, for gifting me the strength and wisdom to push forward and to sprinkle love and positivity wherever I go. Join me as I document and share my journey with you. Follow me on Instagram, here’s the link: https://www.instagram.com/aishwarya_shah, where we HOPE to develop and empower people from all walks of life to shape their own future through the combination of love, words and oh yes! Art! Because when we are inspired and filled with a driving force, we involuntarily and subconsciously strive to do our best.
When we lift each other, together we lift hearts! God Bless!

In every post you write a line that particularly stand out to me. Here it’s this one: “And it’s not about what we might get by being like this, but about who we become in being like this.”
I’ve heard that you shouldn’t live expecting to gain from your good deeds. Jesus advised His followers to not give or serve so that others see, but to give and serve in humility and quietness, with no expectation of recognition. In asking “What’s in it for me?”, we forget that the service itself is a reward.
Yes, yes, yes to the hope children inspire by just existing in spite of hardship. My family worked with an nonprofit organization in China for a few years that cared for children with HIV/AIDS and other health or physical problems. Despite their circumstances, those kids would smile, laugh, play, and try to love when we came to help. I read once that the peace and happiness of children is so much greater than adults because children know how to prioritize fun and enjoyment of life over resentment, pride, or grudges.
Through Eclipsed Words, I would say that you have fulfilled your motto of aspiring to inspire. Thank you, Aishwarya!

Some people choose to see the ugliness in this world, the disarray. I choose to see the beauty. – Westworld.

I’m going to have to stop calling you dishwasher AISHWARYA, because you are becoming more divine every time you write to us. I fear my God will take away one of my windows for toying with your name.
And when somebody has time, teach me how to put two pictures into a post.
This was my favorite creation you’ve shared with us…truly evoking more than a smile, a memory, a sense of worth and greatness that we can all possess. That we do all possess, but do so little with. Love you young lady.
Oh my! Hahah, I don’t know how to react to that particular version of my name. Lol.
