“Things may come to those who wait, but only the things that are left by those who hustle.”
I’m terribly sorry, but there’s no substitute for hard work. No shortcuts, no step-by-step guide. No secret routine, no magic potion, nothing of the sorts.
It doesn’t matter if you like or not this arrangement because this is law; one that applies to everything you do: your work, your passions, your body, your relationships, your beliefs, your virtues.
Life is war.
Make no mistake. We are all created equal. We all dream of a better life. We all wake up sometimes in the middle of the night, startled by nightmares of never becoming who we want to be. And in the morning, we muster the courage and strength to get out of bed, we are afraid of who we are. Terrified by all that we are lacking…
We are all created equal. But some people work harder than others.
That’s it.
The big secret. The shortcut. The great revelation.
You’ve got to work.
You’ve got to fight for what you want.
You have to put on foot in front of the other, regardless of how you feel.
Because your dreams don’t care about you feeling tired, lazy, bored, or scared.
You can wait, or you can hustle, but remember this: wishing does not make it so.
Wishful thinking is just that…
Dreams kept in cages. Which, in turn, are the Dreams destined to never fly. Condemned to a slow death.
The dream is free… But… The hustle is sold separately. ♠
You either hustle or you die. Long before they throw dirt at you.
Don’t give in to your fear, don’t surrender to the voices that keep telling you that you can’t do it.
“It’s impossible.” The voices tell you. “You’re not good enough. You can’t do it. You just can’t.”
Aren’t they stupid, these voices?
Telling you-you can’t do something before you even attempt it?
And aren’t you such a sucker for believing them? Aren’t you such a sucker for thinking that you can get it right from the first try?
Who can?
Whoever did?
The ones you admire, the great ones who make it seem so effortless… they are the ones who grit their teeth and hustled like crazy. They practiced in private, over and over again. They never grew complacent about who they were or what they had.
There’s nothing else.
Face your fears, brace yourself, and hustle like crazy.
And you’ll get everything you want from life.
Thank you for reading. Love you for that!

Well maybe not everything but it will be better than today.
That’s what makes life a little worthwhile I guess.
At least one wisdom tradition…it’s not what you accomplish but what you overcome
What you overcome takes courage. And courage brings great results.

It’s true that dreams will never come true unless one works hard toward them. On the other hand, one could work and work all their life and not achieve what they dream. In an ideal world, effort applied is proportional to succeed reaped. As the case is, we don’t live in such a place. I guess that one of the dreams to which we should all aspire and for which we can all work is bringing the world closer to ideal so that anyone who works hard has as much opportunity for success as anyone else.
Have a blessed day, Aishwarya!
To bring the world closer. Perfect. Thanks for the charge I needed to work today.
Love and hugs,
xoxo
I agree with you. I see so many talented people out in the world grinding and doing their very best on a daily basis. Unfortunately, not everyone receives accolades proportionate to the efforts they put forth. It always breaks my heart to see people work hard, but get passed up by others who opt for “the easy way” or simply get ahead due to being the favorite of a popularity contest.
Yes, that is definitely one of the most frustrating and disheartening circumstances: to work oneself to the bone and then watch someone who didn’t work as hard achieve your goal. Similarly, you could work just as hard as someone else, but he might succeed faster than you or instead of you because of popularity, as you mentioned, demographics, geography, or money. This comic relates to that idea. I think you might find it insightful: http://thewireless.co.nz/articles/the-pencilsword-on-a-plate
I’m at that point–I’ve been there a few times–where the dream seems impossible to reach, even with the hustle. But every time I’ve given up before, I’ve looked back only to see how close I really was. Here’s to doing better this time!
Yes, just when you’re about to give up look how far you’ve come already. Just stay on your path.. And be healthy!
