10 Life Lessons From The World’s Inspirational Leaders

Being brave isn’t the same as being fearless. It’s about understanding why we have certain fears in the first place.

There are many inspirational leaders who can teach us life lessons. When you think of inspirational leaders, who comes to mind?

True leaders can be found in all walks of life. There are inspirational leaders who teach us life lessons in other ways – changing the world through science and innovation, business, and art.

And there are those individuals who inspire us all to achieve more, make the world a better place, and to never give up on our dreams, no matter how big or small they may be.

10 Life Lessons From The World’s Inspirational Leaders:

1. Never stop learning

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin

You should never stop learning in life – education is the key to many things in life. You are never too old to learn, and you should never stop wanting to learn. It is one of the great joys in life.

2. Stop dreaming – and take action

“Being willing is not enough. We must do.”- Leonardo Da Vinci

It’s easy to fall into this rut sometimes. You have lots of great plans, but never do anything about them. Stop thinking – and take action. Sometimes you just have to take a chance to see how it will work out. But you have to start the ‘doing’ first.

3. You get out of life what you put in

“If you do nothing you get nothing.” – Aung San Suu Kyi

To achieve your full potential, you must be prepared to put in the effort. This is the only way you will live a truly fulfilling life. If you feel unsatisfied by life and stuck in a rut, ask yourself honestly – what are you doing to change it? If you put in enough effort, you will succeed in changing your life however you want.

4. Fight for what you believe in

“Better to fight for something than live for nothing.” – George S. Patton

Fighting for what you believe in is one of the most important things you can do in life. Having the courage to stand up for what you believe in isn’t always easy, but it is the most rewarding way to live your life.

5. You have to work hard in life to get what you want

“There is no substitute for hard work.”- Thomas Edison

Whether you want a successful career, a business of your own, money, or to simply be the best you can be at something, you need to work HARD. You need to be prepared to work harder than others to get where you want to be.

6. Do what you can for other people

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.” – Dalai Lama

This is an important life lesson from a renowned inspirational leader. When was the last time you did something for another person without expecting anything in return? Love and compassion for our fellow human beings are some things we can practise every day. Even if it’s just something small, you’re making the world a better place.

7. Whatever happens, always keep going and moving forward

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

No matter what happens in life, you should always keep moving forward. If you’re successful at something, you should have the courage and dedication to develop your skills even further and be the best you can possibly be in life. If you fail at something – it doesn’t matter. It is having the courage to try over and over until you’re successful which is important in life.

8. Be true to yourself

“You don’t have to be somebody different to be important. You’re important in your own right.” – Michelle Obama

Being true to yourself is one of the most important rules to live by. Being true to yourself can help you take actions that make YOU happy and fulfilled and achieve your dreams.

9. Attitude is everything

“Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude” – Thomas Jefferson

This is an extremely important life lesson. You can choose to use your mental attitude to your advantage, and it is a very powerful asset. Having the wrong mindset – telling yourself you can’t do something – is setting yourself up to fail.

10. Embrace the future – don’t fear change

“The future is still so much bigger than the past.” – Tim Berners-Lee

This is one of the most powerful life lessons on our list. Those who fear the future are often unable to make changes in their lives because they are constantly afraid of failing. When you are unafraid of the future, you are able to take action to achieve your dreams.

To do this, you must take control of your present, enjoy your achievements – and never be afraid of what’s coming next.

  1. I would add to Number 8 “Be true to yourself AND OTHERS” Honesty needs to be exercised all around. I know I have a problem with honesty so I have to be true to myself an others around me. Thanks for sharing.
