It’s not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less. Yes, Rick Warren reminds me that humility encourages us to think more of others. Listen more. Care more. Act out of love and compassion for others. There are many great quotes here. Thank you for the collection.
A number of them were memorable, but No. 9 by Rick Warren stays with me. I run into a good many folks who don’t have a clear definition of the word.

Wonderful quotes! My favorite comes of all time comes from Abba Anthony in “The Sayings of the Desert Fathers” as translated by Benedicta Ward: “Abba Anthony said, ‘I saw the snares that the enemy spreads out over the world and I said groaning, ‘What can get through such snares?’ Then I hear a voice saying to me, ’Humility.’ ”
I liked all of them, but Rick Warren’s resonated most. It is a challenge to rewire your brain to think of others first. It is also so good for one’s mental health.
