Now, as you all might know, this is not quite the language that I normally blog with. But I decided to be raw and real today. So here’s me speaking my heart out on my 200th post (200! where did the time go? eeeek i’m excited!)
There’s a book I keep going back to time & time again.
I’m here to give you the Sparknotes of it because…well, I want to give myself the Sparknotes.
That’s right, sometimes I do blog posts that I can go back to & reference.
This is one of those posts.

Before we get into it: HI HOW ARE YOU?
The last 15 days were NON-STOP! After recovering from my accident, I’ve been back to work with 46736473223 emails and job-related stuff to handle, my personal life and having the so-called work-life balance. My body couldn’t handle so much work after being on a break and being on bed-rest and was physically on the verge of giving out- so I ended up in bed, watching TV, reading, writing and eating pizza. You know, what you do when you’re lying around like a slob. I needed to re-shift my energy & re-shift it QUICK.
Decided to blog right now, ‘cuz I’ll be honest here – I’ve missed uploading a blog almost every day and hanging out with you guys here.
So, my weekend was awesome and here I am after a good night’s sleep.
And magically: I woke up feeling relentless.
( Well not magically, actually practice- but we will get into that, right? )
Like I said, relentless is a word ( & book ) I keep going back to. There’s something about the word that lights my fire…every single Monday. I use it when I’m feeling tired. I use it when I procrastinate (which is like 99% of the time.) I use it when I don’t want to write a blog post. I use it when social media feels draining.
I use it a lot.
To explain why, I need to explain the back story.
Tim S. Grover wrote a book called…shit, you guessed it: RELENTLESS: From Good to Great to Unstoppable.
LET ME GIVE YOU SOME QUOTES OUT OF THE BOOK SO YOU GET THE FULL PICTURE:
“BEING RELENTLESS MEANS DEMANDING MORE OF YOURSELF THAN ANYONE ELSE COULD EVER DEMAND OF YOU, KNOWING THAT EVERY TIME YOU STOP, YOU CAN STILL DO MORE. YOU MUST DO MORE.”
♡ ♡ ♡
“DO. THE. WORK. EVERY DAY, YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING YOU DON’T WANT TO DO. EVERY DAY. CHALLENGE YOURSELF TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE, PUSH PAST THE APATHY AND LAZINESS AND FEAR. OTHERWISE, THE NEXT DAY YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TWO THINGS YOU DON’T WANT TO DO, THEN THREE AND FOUR AND FIVE, AND PRETTY SOON, YOU CAN’T EVEN GET BACK TO THE FIRST THING. AND THEN ALL YOU CAN DO IS BEAT YOURSELF UP FOR THE MESS YOU’VE CREATED, AND NOW YOU’VE GOT A MENTAL BARRIER TO GO ALONG WITH THE PHYSICAL BARRIERS.”
♡ ♡ ♡
“ANYONE CAN START SOMETHING; VERY FEW PEOPLE CAN FINISH.”
♡ ♡ ♡
“DON’T TELL ME THE GLASS IS HALF-FULL OR HALF-EMPTY; YOU EITHER HAVE SOMETHING IN THAT GLASS OR YOU DON’T.”
♡ ♡ ♡
“PEOPLE WHO START AT THE TOP NEVER UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY MISSED AT THE BOTTOM. THE GUY WHO STARTED BY SORTING THE MAIL, OR CLEANING THE RESTAURANT LATE AT NIGHT, OR FIXING THE EQUIPMENT AT THE GYM, THAT’S THE GUY WHO KNOWS HOW THINGS GET DONE. AFTER HE’S EVENTUALLY WORKED HIS WAY UP THROUGH THE RANKS, HE KNOWS HOW EVERYTHING WORKS, WHY IT WORKS, WHAT TO DO WHEN IT STOPS WORKING. THAT’S THE GUY WHO WILL HAVE LONGEVITY AND VALUE AND IMPACT, BECAUSE HE KNOWS WHAT IT TOOK TO GET TO THE TOP. YOU CAN’T CLAIM YOU RAN A MARATHON IF YOU STARTED AT THE SEVENTEENTH MILE.”
♡ ♡ ♡
“MAKE A PLAN THAT TRULY REFLECTS YOUR GOALS AND INTERESTS, AND YOU’LL BE MORE LIKELY TO EXECUTE. WHY PRETEND YOU’RE GOING TO WORK OUT EVERY SINGLE DAY WHEN YOU KNOW YOU’RE ONLY GOING TO DO IT THREE TIMES A WEEK?”
♡ ♡ ♡
“DECIDE. COMMIT. ACT. SUCCEED. REPEAT.”
♡ ♡ ♡
– ALL QUOTES BY TIM S. GROVER of Relentless
FIRST THINGS FIRST, ask yourself: are you relentless?
If you are, this post isn’t for you.
…& if you aren’t, good news! You can try yourself too, to be relentless.
To not accept no. To keep pushing forward. To practice discipline. To rinse & repeat EVERYDAY towards your goals NO MATTER what the obstacle.
Personally I deal with a fire every single day. I can’t tell you how many times content has been put out that’s not ready, someone forgets to do something very important, something is late, things don’t go my way, etc. The point is how you handle it though really. Instead of getting depressed, I decide I’m going to allocate my energy towards fixing the problem.
I’ve been told no 29387432948732048 times more than I’ve been told YES.
I’ve been laughed at.
In fact, I’ve been on the phone when people tore me to shreds.
I’m not saying any of this for sympathy.
I’m saying it because I’ve had many openings to sit around & feel bad about myself.
Instead I’ve made the decision to be relentless.
Obviously I’m not perfect & have so much more to learn but I DO FEEL LIKE THIS BOOK has sparked something that no one else has sparked in me. The spark has come from realizing no one else is going to light a fire under my ass.
Someone was interviewing me the other day & asked: what I do when I feel un-inspired.
I mean I feel un-inspired 80% of the time soooooo….I told them what I do. I said, “I tell myself to get the fuck up & over it. Self-discipline , motivate myself, whatever it takes to pull up my boot straps & move forward.”
I feel like that comes from a lot of practice. Whether it is reading or coaching or mentors or creating a strategic future by design, planning & practice makes perfect.
If you’re feeling un-inspired, I highly recommend checking out this book.
At the end of the day, if you’re giving any energy to negativity, that energy could be used in a positive way. Check your energy- I evaluate mine on a regular basis. I’m CONSTANTLY checking where I put my energy.
( I feel like this is one of those books you should read and if you can’t read it- listen to it on audio ).
Are you relentless? If not, what’s stopping you from becoming the best version of yourself? Would love to hear from you.
Happy Day! (based on what part of the world you’re reading this from right now)
Now wake up & kick Today’s ass.
OH AND I’ll leave you with a Tim quote: “You make decisions, not suggestions; you know the answer while everyone else is still asking questions.”
That my friends, is being RELENTLESS.
See you tomorrow,
Aishwarya xx

“You either have something in the glass or you don’t!” I like that. There’s definitely something in my glass… actually it’s a cup of coffee – and my morning started off wonderfully up here in my sanctuary. Following up the devotionals and quiet time with your message says to me, ““DECIDE. COMMIT. ACT. SUCCEED. REPEAT.” Off I go…. THANKS!
We die the same hour, same minute whether we hide in a safe space or risk daily.
Which life is worth living
I’ve never thought of the word “relentless” in this context. It’s excellent. Great post, great quotes. Glad you are feeling on the mend.
Yes. MOnday – Friday I blog. Even when I am tired. Every day I am learning how to make a better resume and figure out my next step in life with my writing so Iḿ no longer subbing. I must love myself enough to do the hard work. Thank you.
I guess I used to be relentless and am slowly learning again how to be the unstoppable fire I once was! And the good news is that this fire never dies if you’re willing to go look for it when you’ve taken a beating! This post made me feel really good haha I had a pretty good day and I am slowly feeling my power coming back to me and just reading those quotes in CAPITAL LETTERS just gave me another mental boost! Thanks for sharing! ♥
Oh yes lady, be Relentless!
Great content! Super high-quality! Keep it up! 🙂
Very nice…
Great post! Thanks for the recommendation; I’m adding Relentless to my TBR list.
I love this! The hard core truth, is most refreshing! If I don’t plow through each day courageously, I get severely depressed by my own lack of accomplishments. This leads me deeper into an even darker place. That’s no good! Keeping busy is the sign of a healthy lifestyle, in my opinion. Great post! Thank you so much.
❤, Jessica
Always like your blog but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS POST! Am going to keep it bookmarked. Thanks for sharing your own motivational kick in the pants with the rest of us – we all need it now and again!

I like the raw. Young people can get away with it more than older people.😇😈
I love it! Be a badass every day. I’m starting today (actually, I started yesterday). The real challenge is to keep it going. Thanks for visiting my blog.
